Atlanta Hawks Event
The Atlanta Hawks hosted a community service event on July 16, 2022, where the challenge was to pack one-million meals for the homeless in the city of Atlanta. Our DeKalb and Cobb County cohorts were able to pack over 450 meals in less than an hour.
DeKalb County Panel
Our DeKalb County cohort hosted a panel with various community leaders titled “Know Your Rights.” Attorney Maluwi Davis (pictured) breaks down the importance of knowing your 4th, 5th, and 6th amendments. Special guest, DeKalb County Sherrif Mirtha Ramos, was also in attendance to shed some light on the topic.
Community Improvement
Our Spring 2022 community service project was held at the Truly Living Well Urban Farm located on the westside of Atlanta. Executive director for the farm, Ms. Carol Hunter, met with our cohort and mentors and allowed us to volunteer with beautification of the farm.
Humana Event & Personal Branding Session
In November of 2022, our DeKalb and Cobb County cohorts met at the Humana Headquarters in Atlanta, Ga. Humana leads three sessions out the year for Project Pinnacle and picture above is the final session of 2022: Personal Branding. Our cohorts had their professional headshots taken, learned tips on how to build resumes and LinkedIn profiles, and took interview advice.
